Adult Learning Funding and Data Coordinator

Do you have experience of funding and data within adult learning or post-16 provision, including working with the Individualised Learner Record (ILR)? Are you keen to support Adult Learning programmes that help residents develop new skills and progress in work and learning? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Adult Learning Funding and Data Coordinator role in the Employment and Skills Team at East Sussex County Council. As the Funding and Data Coordinator you will support the preparation, validation and submission of ILR and other learner and programme data, ensuring information is accurate, complete and compliant. You will use systems and software tools to review and validate data, resolve errors and support funding claims and assurance activity. Through reporting, analysis and forecasting, you will support performance monitoring and informed decision-making while identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Working closely with colleagues and delivery partners, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of data quality across Adult Learning programmes, supporting funding, assurance and audit activities. You will also provide line management and support to the Adult Learning Data Officer. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential for extension, subject to continued funding.

• an organised and analytical individual with experience in a data-related role involving reporting, data quality and performance monitoring.
• You will have knowledge of the ILR and the requirements for funded adult learning programmes, including data validation, submission processes and data quality standards.
• You will also be familiar with funding rules, evidence requirements and audit expectations for post-16 or adult learning provision.
• You will be confident using systems and software tools to analyse and interpret data and able to produce accurate information that supports decision-making and service improvement.
• Strong organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to manage a varied workload to meet deadlines.
• You will be able to communicate complex information clearly and build positive working relationships with colleagues and a range of stakeholders.
