What You'll Do

  • Deliver safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes or supported-living settings.
  • Assist with personal care, daily routines, mobility, meal preparation and hydration.
  • Provide medication support where appropriately trained, competent and authorised.
  • Encourage independence, wel-being and involvement in social and community activities.
  • Monitor individuals’ health and wellbeing and promptly report any changes or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date and confidential care records.
  • Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and confidentiality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Complete all apprenticeship training, attend scheduled learning sessions and work towards achieving the Adult Care Worker Level 2 apprenticeship.


Training Outcome

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
