Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship

Introduction

Join our dedicated team as an Adult Care Worker apprentice and make a genuine difference every day. You’ll support 35 residents with cerebral palsy across our residential, day and respite care services, helping each person enjoy a fulfilling, active and varied life while promoting their independence, choice and wellbeing.

What You'll Do

• Support individuals with their daily routines while promoting independence, dignity and respect.
• Read and understand care plans, risk assessments and guidance to provide safe, personalised support.
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting where required.
• Support individuals with mobility, moving and handling, and the safe use of equipment.
• Prepare meals and drinks and provide support with eating and drinking.
• Support with medication in line with your training, care plans and company procedures.
• Complete accurate care records using digital systems and report any changes or concerns.
• Provide companionship, conversation and social support to help reduce isolation.
• Assist with light household tasks, including laundry and shopping, while maintaining a safe environment.
• Work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
• Follow company policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements at all times.
• Attend training sessions, team meetings, supervisions and reviews to continue developing your skills.
• Wear the correct uniform and represent the organisation professionally.

Training Outcome
