Administrator Infected Blood Psychological Support Service

Thispostisbasedwithin Oxford University Hospitals Foundation TrustInfectedBloodPsychologicalService(IBPS)hostedbytheHaemophilia and Thrombosis Centre. The service provides multidisciplinary care for those infected and affected by the contaminated blood products by a) conducting outreach and psychosocial assessments led by a navigator; and b) providing psychological therapies by a team of psychological professionals.

Patient administration underpins the patient journey, supporting clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.

The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the department. This will be through the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team of Psychology and a Navigator/Social Worker.

Main duties of the job

To provide:

advice and support to beneficiaries of the service

full secretarial and administrative services to the clinical team

Management of lists and clinics, ensuring that all patients are seen within the required time scales and in accordance with NHS England targets and Trust policies.

Close liaison with the Centre receptionists in order to maintain the smooth running of outpatient clinics and to keep the department informed of any known changes to forthcoming clinics. When requested, to organise and set up extra clinics and liaise closely with, clinic staff and patients.

General administrative duties including filing, typing, photocopying, scanning, arrangement of meetings, taking minutes and dealing with general communication.

joint working and close co-operation is developed and maintained with internal and external staff groups, providing the clinical/operational services needed to maintain a complete and seamless service to patients

Collection and reporting of key performance indicators of the service, ensuring that it meets the targets set out by NHS England
