We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Urgent Care Clinical Triage Hub. This is a new and evolving service, allowing paramedics and care providers to consult with medial teams before automatically transporting non-emergency patients to A&E. It redirects patients to the most appropriate, localised care while keeping A&E free for critical incidents and so this is an exciting opportunity., 2 x 20 hours per week

Working a shift pattern between (currently 9.30am - 6.00pm, though this may change in the future) to cover the hours of the service across 7 days per week, 365 days per year., As the administrative support to the Clinical Triage Hub, you will be expected to provide a welcoming and professional first impression for Healthcare Professionals contacting the service, to ensure they receive an excellent customer service experience and that patients are streamed to the most appropriate area to provide their treatment. You will be the first point of contact for anyone accessing the service therefore, you must be able to deal professionally with a range of enquiries, in person, by phone or by email in an efficient, polite and courteous manner.

The post holder will be expected to provide full clerical support to the Clinical Triage Hub. You will be expected to work as part of a team but also without direct supervision to ensure the smooth running of the service. Flexibility is required as part of the role as the service works 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills and have the ability to deal with internal/external stakeholders and the general public daily. A positive approach to customer care is essential.

The role will involve providing administrative support to the clinical team within the Triage Hub. In addition, it is a necessity that applicants have a good standard of IT skills and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Flexibility is required as there is a citywide service operating from a number of locations between 8am and 8pm across a 7-day footprint; there will be a need to travel between our urgent care sites and so the successful candidate should be a car driver.
