Full Job Description
The GP & Podiatry Services Administrator provides comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the GP and Podiatry services within the Low Secure Forensic Service. The role is central to ensuring the effective delivery of physical healthcare by managing referrals, coordinating clinics and appointments, supporting Care Programme Approach (CPA) processes, and acting as a key point of liaison between clinical teams and external healthcare providers. You will work closely with GPs, Podiatrists, Physical Health Nurse Leads, Matrons and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT), ensuring timely communication, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with Trust policies, governance, and confidentiality requirements. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information while supporting patient care pathways and service efficiency.,
- Coordinate and administer GP and Podiatry services, acting as the main point of contact for clinical teams and external providers
- Manage referrals, appointments and clinic schedules for GP and Podiatry services
- Support patient care pathways by tracking referrals, appointment outcomes and onward referrals
- Provide administrative support to Care Programme Approach (CPA) processes, including monitoring review timescales and ensuring reports are completed
- Organise vaccinations, immunisations and national screening appointments, including annual flu clinics
- Maintain accurate patient records and information systems, including RiO and digital dictation systems
- Prepare, organise and minute meetings, ensuring actions are recorded and followed up
- Coordinate diaries, room bookings and venues for clinics, meetings and training events
- Process GP payments and liaise with Finance in line with Trust procurement procedures
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with Trust policies and data protection standards
- Provide flexible administrative support to the wider MDT and administration team across the service
