Full Job Description

The post-holder will provide clerical support to the Diabetes & Endocrinology department , based in Nevill Hall Hospital as well as reception duties.

To answer general queries.

To carry out administrative tasks for the department., To provide administrative support to the Diabetes & Endocrinology clinics within the Health Board. Through an initial period of induction, the postholder will gain up-to-date knowledge of outpatient clinics and will enable thepost-holder to make, amend and cancel appointments, handle straightforward queries. The post-holder will obtain aworking knowledge of all clinic protocols in addition to any specific standards for the specialty. The role will range from updating waiting list entries, making calls to patients, answering telephone calls, bookingappointments using the Myrddin Patient Administration System.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
