Job summary


An exiting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Administrator/Receptionist within the Health Visiting clerical team in the Early Intervention and Prevention Care Group.


The team provides a comprehensive administration service to the Health Visitors supporting them in the delivery of the Healthy Child Wales Programme.


This is a busy and varied office based role covering a wide range of clerical duties including dealing with queries from parents, outside agencies and health professionals at all levels. The role can sometimes be quite demanding, therefore an ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks as well as respond to instruction is essential. This role will often require travelling to different sites to meet the needs of the service.


An understanding and awareness of confidentiality is vital as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.


The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Main duties of the job


The role requires excellent organisational abilities and communication skills as well as strong IT skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A knowledge of NHS software packages such as Oracle and PARIS would be an advantage but full training will be given.
