Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced administration candidates to join our busy administration team.We currently have a full time Band 3 Administration Officer vacancy with the Specialist Children and Young Peoples Service (SCYPS) based within the Fraser and Stephenson in-patient wards at Ferndene Hospital.

Fraser and Stephenson wards are part of the wider CNTW Trust's provision of Children and Young Peoples Inpatient Services. These are commonly referred to as Tier 4 services. They include a broad range of assessment, treatment and ongoing support services to children and young people with a range of mental health problem, learning disabilities, autism and eating disorders.

This role will be part of the wider admin team. As a Band 3 Administration Officer you will provide secretarial support to the ward manager and the wider team. You will also work closely with the Medical Secretaries to ensure all aspects of this role are met.

o Demonstrate extensive experience of providing secretarial support to the ward and wider team.o Have a good understanding of the complex needs of the in-patients.o Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and experience of establishing, managing and maintaining admin systems.o Organise own workload on a daily basis, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, use your own initiative and be self-motivated.o Attention to detail and a high standard of written communicationo Make arrangements for visits, meetings etc., to ensure the smooth running of the service.o Confident and competent in administration tasks including experience of minute taking in real time, typing skills and reaching deadlines.o Ability to use the stock ordering system and maintaining accurate record keeping.o Experience working with software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Patient Information Systems (e.g. RiO)o Demonstrate the Trust's Vision and Values in every aspect of
their practice and actively build working relationships with others.o Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, dealing with patients, carers and professionals, in some cases where there are barriers to communication or understanding.o Willingness to undertake relevant mandatory training.o Take personal responsibility for making things happen.
