Full Job Description

Edwards Duthie Shamash have an opportunity to join our Wanstead office as an administration assistant/receptionist to provide support to our busy wills and probate team. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team who provide advice and assistance to a diverse range of clients., The role will be fast-paced, varied and will involve supporting and assisting fee earners with all aspects of their work including:

  • Printing, photocopying, and scanning relevant documents, including assisting with preparation of Court/Counsel bundles, Deeds, and fee earner working papers
  • Filing relevant documents in both electronic and hard copy formats as required
  • Assisting with new business intake processes, including conflict checks, file opening forms, AML/agreed rate forms, and preparing engagement letters with appropriate retainer checks
  • Answering mainline telephone, direct callers to the relevant person or pass on accurate messages
  • Welcoming all guests and visitors, direct them to meeting rooms ensuring their requests and requirements are met
  • Delivering high-quality, accurate work while managing and responding to changing and competing priorities

    The right candidate will have excellent oral and written communication and inter-personal skills. In addition, they will be proactive, have strong organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise in order to deadlines and manage client expectation. Front of house/reception experience is desirable.
