Full Job Description
As a Level 2 Administration Assistant apprentice (ADA27), this is a brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute - you will:
Work directly in a BBC team and pull back the curtain on the world's leading public service broadcaster.
Provide critical administrative support that keeps the heart of the team beating.
Keep the team on track and ensure deadlines are met, working at pace to solve problems on the job.
Communicate with colleagues across departments, building relationships and networks.
Learn the systems, processes and skills that keep a major global organisation running smoothly.
You'll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means you'll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 2 Administration Assistant apprenticeship with our learning provider, using its virtual delivery platform.
For more information on what you will study during the scheme, please see the Administration Assisstant apprenticeship standard.
YOUR SKILLS AND ELIGIBILITY
We're interested in your passion for working at the BBC and your enthusiasm for delivering world-class content and operational excellence to our audiences. We're not focused on your qualifications; instead, we look for potential and offer you the opportunity to apply your transferable strengths and experience to work in different ways.
If you can bring some of these skills and experiences, along with transferable strengths, we'd love to hear from you and encourage you to apply
Collaboration - we want to hear about your ability to work well with others and stakeholders across the organisation, to reach a common goal.
Organisation - Hopefully you have a sharp eye for detail and are able to keep your team's work organised/running efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
Adaptability - We're looking for candidates with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances and working in uncertain situations.
Motivation for the BBC - We're keen to hear about why you want to work at the BBC specifically, and your motivation around pursuing a role in the broadcasting industry.
The Administration Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship is designed to help individuals build the essential skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in an entry-level administration or business support role. A globally renowned media company borne of the BBC. We make and distribute the world's most sought-after TV, audio and digital content. Our ambition is to be the home of the most powerful, entertaining, and inspiring stories for people all around the world.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM?
The Global Content team helps make sure the right people and resources are in place to support the BBC's TV, radio and news output. Organising schedules and coordinating staff so programmes and live events can run smoothly. As an apprentice, you'll support the team with day-to-day administration, keeping information organised, updating records and helping colleagues with planning and scheduling.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in media, working in a high-paced, but exciting environment, learning about the television industry alongside being able to develop valuable administrative and organisational skills.
As part of our commitment to building a workforce that reflects all of the audiences we serve, we want to open up more routes into the BBC for people at the very start of their working lives, a group that is currently under-represented across our teams. This scheme is one of the ways we are doing that.
Due to the apprenticeship funding requirements for this scheme, you must be aged between 18 - 24 when this apprenticeship starts. If you are not aged 18 to 24 on 7th September 2027 you are not eligible for this scheme, however we would encourage you to consider other apprenticeships or applying for other vacancies via the BBC careers site.
