Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Apprentice to join Independent Cleaning Services! You'll support the day-to-day running of the business across HR, Operations, Finance, Compliance and Customer Service, while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading systems including Timegate and Cleanlink.

ICS Cleaning is a regional service provider based in the North of England, operating as part of the SPS Group. Their work spans contract cleaning, specialist cleaning, floor care, washroom management and education cleaning — delivered across schools, offices, retail sites, industrial premises and local authority buildings. As an apprentice, you’ll be supported every step of the way while developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build a successful career in business administration.



What You'll Do

  • Assisting with the onboarding of new employees, including checking and verifying right-to-work and identification documents
  • Ensuring employee compliance records are completed, filed, and maintained, including induction records, health questionnaires, and employment documentation
  • Supporting DBS applications and maintaining safeguarding records for employees working in schools and other regulated environments
  • Recording and filing client service reviews, audits, and quality assurance documentation
  • Maintaining accurate electronic filing systems and updating company databases
  • Using company systems, including Cleanlink and Timegate, to support daily administrative and operational tasks
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices before forwarding documentation to the Accounts Department
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering cleaning products, uniforms, consumables, and office supplies
  • Assisting with updates to the company website and social media platforms, including recruitment advertising
  • Maintaining annual leave records and holiday information
  • Issuing and recording staff uniforms while maintaining accurate stock control
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and providing general administrative support
  • Carrying out other reasonable administrative duties to support the wider business
