Full Job Description
Working as part of a busy and supportive secondary school office, you will provide a high-quality administrative and reception service whilst taking a lead role in supporting the school's medical and first aid provision. Duties will include maintaining medical records, supporting the administration of medication, monitoring first aid processes and supplies, assisting with student welfare matters, and acting as a key point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors. The role also includes general administrative support, reception duties, and contributing to the wider life of the school.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Previous administrative experience is essential, and experience within a school, healthcare or similar environment would be advantageous. First Aid training is desirable, although training will be provided for the successful candidate.
As part of Altus Education Partnership, you'll be joining a growing and ambitious trust committed to improving the lives of young people across the borough of Rochdale. At Edgar Wood Academy, our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and our recent staff survey showed that 95% of staff are proud to be part of the school and 93% enjoy working here.
