Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to work as part of the Additional Learning Needs Team, Education and Children Services, to work alongside the Advisory Teachers for Autism and other colleagues within the Inclusion Department to guide, train, advise, monitor, and support staff in all settings on their knowledge and provision of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) specifically in the area of ASD. We are looking for a suitably experienced professional with NVQ 4 or equivalent together with Elklan qualification and appropriate ICT skills. The individual will have knowledge and understanding of the different requirements and needs of children/young people with Social Communication Difficulties/Autism at relevant developmental stages, show dedication, resilience, and determination to ensure the best outcomes for CYP., An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk Welsh language level - verbal Level 3 - You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level
