Acute Medicine Undergraduate Medical Education Fellow

We have an exciting new opportunity to become UCLH's Undergraduate Medical Education Fellow in Acute Medicine from August 2026. This is an ideal post for doctors training in any medical specialty with a general internal medicine component looking to undertake an out of programme experience, or doctors looking for opportunities before entering higher specialty training. This is an opportunity for a motivated registrar with full MRCP and a passion for education to shape the learning culture for medical students attached to Acute Medicine at UCLH. The role offers a unique balance of clinical practice and protected time to develop as a medical educator within one of the UK's most dynamic and academically active acute trusts. Whether you are exploring a longer-term career in education or seeking dedicated time to consolidate leadership and teaching skills, this fellowship provides the platform, autonomy and support to make a meaningful impact on medical student training -- while continuing to develop your own clinical and professional practice.Main duties of the job The post holder will direct the training programme for medical students attached to acute medicine. There will undergo training to deliver teaching on medical undergraduate curriculum programmes. This will be alongside a commitment to clinical work in acute medicine, working at a registrar level in Same Day Emergency Care and the Enhanced Care Unit within the AMU. The post is divided into a roughly 50/50 split between educational work and clinical work. The post holder will support the local Undergraduate Medical Education lead to address important training issues, enhance medical student experiences and support department-wide education.
