Optalis is the adult social care delivery partner on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council. Optalis is owned and funded by the 2 Councils. Optalis is not a private provider or an employment agency. Activity Support Organisers - Community Lives Day Services Wokingham & Woodley Hours 08.30 - 4.30pm £24,791.39 FTE £12.85 per hour

(Full time 37 hours) These services provide plenty of opportunities to mix with other people, visit different places and learn new things. With our services designed to meet different needs and interests every day of the week. The focus is on helping the people we support meet their personal goals through person-centred support. The teams help with all support needs, from medication to personal care or emotional support, so that everyone feels safe and comfortable. We take time to understand what matters to each person, so they feel known, valued and supported throughout the day. The services provide day support, offering one-to-one and group activities at a pace that suits, and tailored to people's interests and abilities, including:

• Cognitive stimulation therapy
• Quizzes and crosswords
• Gardening
• Arts and crafts
• Keep fit and seated exercise
• Singing for pleasure
• Reminiscence/life history
• Table games, cards and bingo
• Themed activity days
• Cookery
Choices - choosing how the people we support spend their time. Join group activities, try something new or enjoy quiet time - understanding that individuals needs and energy can change, and we will adapt with them. The posts involve supporting individuals to access local learning and leisure facilities using our vehicles and therefore you will need to be a full UK driving licence holder and over 25 years of age to comply with our insurance.
