Full Job Description
- Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activates and social events for residents
- Utilise the resources and computer to plan and inform families on resident activities
- Work closely with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to residents' physical, emotional and cognitive needs.
- Encourage residents to pursue their hobbies, interests and personal goals.
- Help create a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Support special events, celebrations, themed days and seasonal activities within the home.
- Ensure all activities comply with health, safety and safeguarding policies.
- Promote dignity, respect, choice and person-centred care at all times.
It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest. - You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
- Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
- Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
- You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
- Have good computer skills, An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
