Activity Assistant

Tucked away near the bustling area of Wantage, St Katharine's House is more than just a care home-it's a sanctuary of warmth, care, and vibrant life. Here, every resident receives individual care and support to meet their unique needs, Dive into a world where modern amenities meet timeless charm, and every day is a new adventure. We are seeking a candidate flexible to work weekends (up to 4hrs) or evenings (up to 2hrs). What does the role involve?

• To build friendships with our residents that help them adjust to life in a care home.
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner.
• Maintain good communication levels with Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives to ensure smooth operation of role and high levels of co-operation.
• Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard. Agree the type and quantity of record keeping with the manager on a monthly basis.
• Maintain client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes being aware of the residents' hobbies and interests and assisting them to pursue these by creating resident profiles.
• Work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all staff, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Home and in consideration of its residents.
