Full Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Activities Duty Manager to support the delivery of our exciting watersports programme while leading and developing a talented team of instructors. Whether you're an experienced Senior Instructor looking for the next step in your career or an outdoor professional seeking a new challenge, this is an opportunity to combine leadership, customer experience, and adventure in a truly unique setting. What will you be doing? As Activities Duty Manager, you'll work closely with the Activities Manager to ensure the safe, successful, and enjoyable delivery of our activities programme, including: sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, rowing, raft building and power boating on our beautiful reservoir. Tasks include:
- Lead, motivate and support a team of watersports instructors
- Manage online activity bookings and customer enquiries
- Conduct risk assessments and safety reviews
- Complete building inspections and fire alarm testing
- Investigate and report accidents and incidents
- Undertake daily and weekly banking procedures
- Help maintain high standards of safety, customer service and operational excellence What does it take? We're seeking a confident leader who is passionate about outdoor activities and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service, RYA Senior Instructor qualification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Instructor
- Experience working in an outdoor activity or watersports environment
