The role of Activities Driver at Sonning Gardens Care Home in Berkshire involves providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, ensuring a high level of service and support. The successful candidate will have a PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record, as well as the ability to react calmly in emergencies and provide considerate assistance to residents., As an Activities Driver, your focus will be on providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities, while also assisting them with any special needs during the journey. This may include carrying packages, opening doors, helping residents onto and out of the vehicle, and ensuring they reach their destination safely. Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle, and assisting residents to the point of destination required. Always focusing on driving; directs tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion.
