37.5 Hours Per Week - over 5 days - Including alternate weekends If you are passionate about caring for the elderly and want to build a long-term career in one of our award-winning homes, then look no further than Akari Care. We now seek an Activities Coordinator who is enthusiastic about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration and unity with the Home Manager and the wider and extended community teams you will be responsible for helping and engaging residents to socialise within the home. This includes providing a variety of activities that cater for all tastes, abilities, cultures and, respecting everyone as an individual, ensuring that you promote diversity and inclusion at all stages. You will plan and initiate rolling / individual programmes, encouraging residents not only to
maintain pre-existing hobbies but also to endeavour to try other activities. By supporting and actively encouraging colleagues, relatives, and friends to participate in activities with residents you will enable additional stimulation not only in the activity itself but in promoting socialising and spending quality time with others to help enrich our residents lives., If you are passionate about caring for the elderly and want to build a long-term career in one of our award-winning homes, Akari Care is looking for an Activities Coordinator. You will plan and provide activities that stimulate and engage residents, working with the Home Manager and community teams. The role involves planning programmes, promoting diversity and inclusion, and encouraging residents to maintain and try new hobbies. Youll be supporting and engaging with colleagues, relatives, and friends, as well as accompanying residents to offsite activities. Youll also be involved in creative fundraising, budgeting for entertainment, and ensure a secure environment for residents.
