Full Job Description
This is an exciting time to be joining the Active Wellbeing Team as part of the wider Community Team at Havant Borough Council. As an ambitious and innovative team, we aim to create accessible environments for residents to lead physically active, healthy lives by developing sustainable services, infrastructure, and partnerships. We are looking for an organised, proactive and community-focused individual to provide exemplary administration support in the co-ordination of projects and partnerships that seek to support residents who face the greatest health inequalities to be more physically active. The support officer will respond to enquiries through the council's various access channels, handling requests, and performing administration tasks to support the delivery of projects such as the Get up and Go programme. You will make a positive difference by providing a considerate and understanding service throughout the customer journey from initial enquiry through to activity attendance and retention. The role also provides essential administration and support for various partnerships and contract monitoring for sport, physical activity, leisure and recreational projects and facilities.
We are looking for somebody who can effectively communicate with a range a people, through a range of channels. You will need a strong customer focus, attention to detail and enthusiasm to support projects that positively impact people's behaviour, enabling them to move more. The post requires a proactive person who can demonstrate experience in administration. You should have experience working with communities and/or public sector partners, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
