Full Job Description

We are looking for a brand new, modern Lunchtime Play Leader to join our incredibly friendly and supportive team!

This is not an old-style "dinner lady" role - this is about inspiring play, encouraging adventure, and making lunchtimes the highlight of the school day. Our Play Leaders are champions of outdoor learning, creativity and exploration.

You'll be out in all weathers (rain never stops great play!), helping children into waterproofs and wellies, and supporting exciting, adventurous activities such as den building, construction with planks, tyres and pallets, and imaginative large-scale play. You'll help children learn how to assess risks for themselves, build resilience and confidence, and develop independence - all while ensuring resources are used safely and thoughtfully.

The role also involves monitoring the safety and condition of equipment, managing the supply and rotation of play resources to keep opportunities fresh and engaging, and supporting children to take responsibility for tidying and caring for their environment.

We're looking for someone with a genuine love of working with children, a warm and positive approach, and a real can-do attitude. If you believe the sky's the limit when it comes to children's creativity and potential, we'd love to hear from you! This is the kind of role where you'll head home at the end of lunchtime with a beaming smile, knowing you've made a real difference.
