Full Job Description
We're looking for an Accounts Assistant who is organised, detail-focused and ready to play a key role in a growing and ambitious organisation. Whether you're looking to develop your finance career or bring your existing experience into a purpose-led business, this could be the perfect next step. This is far more than a traditional finance administration role. You'll be at the heart of the business, supporting colleagues across our services, building relationships with suppliers, solving problems and helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. What you'll be doing No two days are quite the same, but you'll be involved in:
- Processing purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Managing supplier accounts and resolving queries
- Preparing and processing payment runs
- Supporting cash management and reconciliations
- Managing Soldo cards, budgets and user support
- Assisting with utilities management across our properties
- Working closely with teams across the organisation
- Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
- You'll become a trusted point of contact, ensuring financial information is accurate, payments are made on time, and colleagues receive the support they need.
We're interested in people who are: - Naturally organised and highly accurate
- Great at building relationships and communicating with others
- Confident working with numbers and financial systems
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Positive, proactive and keen to learn
- Team players who enjoy solving problems, Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts or finance role
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
- Experience using accounting software such as SAP
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Desirable
- AAT Level 2 or above (or currently studying)
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment
