Full Job Description

The Senior Assistant will support the finance team with a focus on credit card processing, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and ledger management. The role reports directly to the Management Accountant and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies, including managing debit balances and maintaining clean ledgers.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Card Processing
Manage and process company credit card transactions
Reconcile credit card statements and investigate discrepancies
Ensure compliance with company policies and follow up on outstanding items
Bank Reconciliation
Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies promptly
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
Intercompany Reconciliation
Reconcile intercompany balances between group entities
Investigate and resolve differences in intercompany accounts
Intercompany Invoice Processing
Process and post intercompany invoices accurately
Ensure correct allocation and coding of transactions
Support intercompany month-end close activities
Ledger Management & Debit Balance Review
Maintain clean and accurate ledgers across all accounts
Review and clear aged or unmatched transactions
Investigate and resolve debit balances in a timely manner
General Finance Support
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support audits by providing required documentation
Identify opportunities for process improvements

Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (2+ years preferred)
Strong experience with reconciliations and ledger management
Solid understanding of accounting principles
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Excel
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
