Accounting & Finance Lecturer Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Location: Leeds - on site Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week); sponsorship not offered. Salary: £51,000 per annum. Vision: Changing lives through education. The Role We are seeking lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility is required to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
- Develop, update and improve course materials.
- Employ a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
- Participate in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Stay current with developments in the field and student support practices.
- Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. What you'll be doing As a Lecturer, enjoy all aspects of learning, teaching, and assessment while staying up-to-date with the latest developments. About You
- Hold a Master's degree in an Accounting and Finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent, with full membership of PSRB (PhD desirable).
- Have UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Accurate reporting, maintain thorough and organised student records.
- Work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol during probationary period).
- Fully qualified from PSRB affiliates (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA). What We Offer
