Accountant Settlements - Fixed Term Contract

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for an Accountant II to join our Settlements team and help shape the future of global commerce. What you'll own

• Manage Scheme settlement processes, ensuring accurate execution, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
• Review, validate, and approve standard journal entries, while preparing and posting more complex journals.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex settlement discrepancies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Produce weekly and monthly management information (MI), performance reporting.
• Delegate daily tasks and provide direction to team members to ensure operational objectives are met.
• Monitor and prioritise workloads throughout the day to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
  
  Previous experience within settlements and / or reconciliations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills,
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and business objectives
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement.
