Full Job Description
You will be responsible for helping to create, manage and grow client relationships nationally for the firm's successful education team. You will retain and develop our existing client base, as well as securing new clients, contributing to the delivery of the team's business plan and growth objectives. You will also help to identify new opportunities - clients, products, services, networks, partners - via regular client meetings and client feedback.,
- Growing revenue from prospective and existing clients as well as managing the delivery of products/services and driving new business from these client relationships. You will need to meet new business and existing customer business targets that are set for you on a monthly basis.
- To have excellent awareness of competitor activity/initiatives within the sector.
- In conjunction with our Business Development team manage and work on sales pipelines for our legal and HR products and manage own opportunities, providing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts to the business.
- Develop the pipeline process with our central Business Development team to improve our communication and touch points with clients and prospects and to maximise the conversion of the team's and your own pipeline.
- Development of the education sector's value proposition - ensuring that it is always relevant to our clients/our potential clients.
- In conjunction with central Business Development team work collaboratively to develop marketing campaigns, including lead generation, maintaining the sales pipeline and aligning with/supporting our central Business Development team's activities (including providing telesales and face to face sales elements to campaigns).
- Supporting the launch and promotion of new products and services as well as providing client feedback on our products and services to allow us to continually develop our offering.
- Facilitating cross-departmental updates on client activity and issues ensuring that leads are followed up and further sales opportunities are communicated effectively to relevant colleagues.
- Responsible for the development of the quote and order documentation, making sure the value proposition is included in these documents and dealing with buyer regret effectively to ensure a high sales conversion rate.
- Responsible for ensuring that our current client relationship management (CRM) database to record client activity is kept accurate and up-to-date, all leads are recorded and all follow up notes are logged. You will run your own reporting from our CRM system for the purpose of forecasting and demonstrating your targets have been achieved.
- To identity opportunities, secure our attendance and represent the team at sector exhibitions and conferences, as required (to include pre and post event follow up with clients and prospects).
- On-boarding - making sure that we provide the right documentation and communication on the first 90 days of a customer lifecycle to ensure we maximise our relationship and potential to grow clients.
- To ensure that a high volume of your clients retain our services year-after-year; helping to build enduring, quality relationships with our client base.
Technical skills - Experience of working with a CRM database
- Proficient IT skills particularly in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Full driving licence, Extensive experience of working in a face-to-face customer service or sales environment - and experience of hosting/participating in sales and exhibition events would be desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A team player who also has the ability to work under their own initiative; a self-starter who can work independently in a disciplined, well-organised manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a demanding, fast-moving environment
- Good commercial awareness - and a good knowledge and understanding of the education sector would be advantageous
- Target driven and a proven track record of meeting sales and account management objectives
- Confident, professional and tactful - with a persuasive manner
