Accommodation Caretaker

Swansea Council's Temporary Supported Accommodation will provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our service will run across a 24-hour period 365 days a year., As the Temporary Accommodation Caretaker, you will:

• Provide a comprehensive caretaking service as required to the Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme.
• Undertake property management tasks at the start of, during and post occupancy to minimise delays with turnover and ensure properties are fit for re-letting.
• Undertake minor repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in undertaking premises / building management and Health and Safety compliance.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme(s) and homelessness services.
  
  A dynamic, self-motivated and organised individual who is committed to making a real difference.
• A strong communicator and problem solver, able to handle difficult and sometimes volatile situations should they arise.
• Proven experience of working within the social housing sector.
• Experience of working in supported accommodation and/or support services which align with the Housing Support Grant guidelines and outcomes framework would be an advantage.

  £25,584 - £26,409 per year. Temporary Accommodation Caretaker. Permanent 37 hours per week. Expected start date mid to late August. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the new Temporary Supported Accommodation, for people experiencing homelessness, provided by Swansea Council's Housing Service.
