Full Job Description
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Access to Education Team, supporting children and young people who are unable to attend school due to medical needs, mental health difficulties or other exceptional circumstances. Delivering tailored educational support, promoting engagement and wellbeing and helping pupils reintegrate into education will be the main focus.,
- Plan, prepare and deliver tailored tuition, including 1:1, remote and blended learning support.
- Assess pupils' starting points, monitor progress, maintain records and report on attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
- Liaise with schools, families, health professionals and partner agencies to support continuity of learning and reintegration.
- Support Access to Education service administration, including referrals, Section 19 processes, meetings and inbox enquiries.
- Coordinate AV1 robot use, including setup, delivery, troubleshooting, training and practical support for schools, pupils and families.
As an Access to Education HLTA you will be an organised, flexible and skilled practitioner with experience of supporting children and young people. You will demonstrate confidence in supporting and delivering learning, whilst building positive relationships with families and professionals. You will maintain accurate records, champion safeguarding and inclusion and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for every pupil. About the team... The Access to Education Team is based at Braccan Walk Youth Centre, Bracknell. We work collaboratively with schools, families, health professionals and other agencies to support pupils who are unable to attend school. This is a full-time, term-time only role based at Braccan Walk Youth Centre in Bracknell. You will be expected to attend the office five days per week, subject to the classroom timetable.
