Full Job Description

Strategic Oversight: Monitor the implementation of the Trust's strategy and ensure the Board of Trustees fulfills its statutory and fiduciary duties.
Governance & Accountability: Participate in Annual General Meetings (AGMs), review annual reports and audited accounts, and approve essential changes to the Trust's Articles of Association.
Trustee Appointments: Help appoint and evaluate Trustees to maintain high standards of governance across the Trust.
Ethos Guardian: Safeguard the core educational values and long-term vision of the Trust.

We are particularly keen to strengthen our board with individuals who bring experience in secondary education.
We welcome interest from individuals with leadership experience across business, education, finance, law, HR, or community governance.
Excellent critical thinking, strategic insight, and independent judgment.
A shared passion for educational excellence, inclusivity, and holistic student development.
Ability to commit to scheduled meetings across the year, including the AGM.
Previous governance experience is helpful but not essential-we provide training, mentorship, and a warm welcome.
