Full Job Description
Responsible to: Head of Academy Sports Science and Medicine
Hours of work: No fixed hours. Shifts arranged subject to availability, including Monday - Friday evening sessions (16:30-19:00) and weekend matchdays.
ATTENTION: Applicants must be willing to work at least 2 Sundays per month., · Provide emergency first aid cover - during trainings and matchday
· Clinical assessment of youth injured players U9s-U16s prior to the games
· Keep detailed and accurate records of injuries and treatments and upload them on the Football Intelligence Platform.
· Constant communication with coaches, sports scientist and parents regarding players' injury and availability.
· Liaise with full time academy medical members to update for player's rehabilitation progress
· Attend and participate in in-house CPD sessions
· Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children within the academy
Millwall Football Club is looking to recruit committed, knowledgeable, self-motivated, The applicants must be prepared to work flexible hours, including midweek evening sessions and weekend games. That is an excellent opportunity for pro-active individuals, with a keen interest of working in football. You will need to be up to date with current literature, understand the scope of practice, and seek to develop your practical skills alongside with opportunities to attend internal CPD., · Chartered physiotherapist, sports therapy or sport rehabilitator degree.
· Basic Life Support or any first aid qualification is essential to apply for the vacancy
· Driving License
· IT Literacy Skills
Desirable Requirements:
· Valid Safeguarding Certification
· Experience of working in professional sport with adolescent population
· Understanding of the EPPP requirements
· FA ATMMiF (Level 5), FA ITMMiF (Level 4) or equivalent 1st aid qualification
The Person:
· Flexible working hours and timetable commitment
· Flexible to cover away fixtures with long travels
· Experience of working in the sporting (football desirable) environment
· Strong communication skills
