Academic Skills Tutor

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Academic Skills Tutor to join the high-performing GCSE team at High Pavement. Working closely with GCSE students, you will deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group support sessions designed to develop effective study habits, independent learning skills, and academic confidence. Your work will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential, with a clear focus on improving academic outcomes and progression opportunities.

You will be instrumental in building students' confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging within the High Pavement community. By developing positive relationships and creating a supportive learning environment, you will help foster a culture where students feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed. While a specialism in Maths or English would be advantageous, we are primarily looking for someone with a genuine passion for improving the life chances of young people and a commitment to supporting them to achieve their ambitions. High Pavement Sixth Form is part of Nottingham College which is rated 'Good' by Ofsted. It is a city based sixth form campus for full-time 16-19 academic study programmes to over 1000 students in A levels, 14-16 EHE GCSEs and 16-19 FT GCSE.,
