Academic Clinical Lecturer in General Practice

Applications are invited from the below listed specialty for one post under the NIHR Integrated Academic Training Pathway. This is a fixed-term, four-year post which offers excellent opportunities to undertake a period of post-doctoral research to enable progress towards an independent academic career. The area of research that the ACL is expected to work in is Primary Care and Community Care (please refer to the job description for further details of the research theme).

The NIHR ACL post will be from the following specialty:

• General Practice, based in Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6GG.

Applicants should be medically qualified GPs who have completed or have submitted for a higher degree (PhD/DPhil/MD/DM) in a relevant research area.

The closing date for this post is 12 noon on 21 October 2026. Interviews will be held remotely via Teams on 9 November 2026.

Pay Scale: CLINICAL LECTURER (GP) (A68)

Salary (£): £91,569 - £117,745 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience, in line with current pay protection and transitional arrangements in the NHS
