Abattoir Operative / Hanger

We are looking for an Abattoir Operative/ Hanger to join our established team here at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the EV/Offal Room, with duties including offal packing and grading of organs.,

• To support with the general production of our chicken products, duties will include but are not limited to; offal packing, grading of organs and more.
• Hanging will also be required. This is a labour-intensive role and physically demanding as you will be standing for long periods of time. When hanging you will be entitled to the hanging payrate.
• Abiding to Food Safety, Hygiene and COSHH to ensure safe production of our products.
• Duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on the factory needs
  
  Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
• Enjoy working to targets in a fast paced environment
• Possess high standards of work
• Have a basic level of both written and verbal English
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Ideally have experience of working within the food production industry, however this is not necessary as full training will be provided

  Rate of Pay - £14.63 per hour (Rate inclusive of a £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
• Hanging payrate when required is £17.50 per hour (Rate inclusive of a £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus and efficiency, if met)
