This is a high-profile leadership opportunity to shape the future of digital skills education at regional and national levels. Working at the intersection of education, industry and government, you will lead the College's digital skills strategy, ensure successful delivery of TEC objectives, and position Gloucestershire College as a recognised centre of excellence for digital and technology education.,

  • Lead and champion Gloucestershire College's Digital Technical Excellence College vision and brand.
  • Deliver the TEC programme in line with Department for Education expectations and employer needs.
  • Drive innovation and excellence in digital technical education.
  • Shape future-focused curriculum pathways in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and emerging technologies.
  • Build strategic partnerships across education, training providers, employers and industry.
  • Lead major investment and capital projects to enhance digital learning environments.
  • Develop regional and national collaborations that strengthen skills development and workforce growth.
  • Position the College as a leader in digital skills training and technical excellence.

    You will be a credible and forward-thinking leader with the ability to deliver transformational change and influence a wide range of stakeholders., Significant leadership experience in digital, technology, education, skills or workforce development.
  • A strong track record of delivering complex strategic programmes.
  • Understanding of digital skills needs and emerging industry trends.
  • Experience building effective partnerships across education, industry and government.
  • Excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills.
  • The ability to lead innovation, manage change and deliver results at pace.
  • Experience within further or higher education is desirable, but applications are welcomed from candidates with relevant industry experience.

    Gloucestershire College is one of only five colleges in England selected to deliver digital technology training through the Government's prestigious Technical Excellence Colleges (TEC) programme. Backed by £175 million of government investment, the programme aims to address growing demand for skilled workers in high-growth sectors, with an estimated 600,000 additional workers needed by 2030.
