- Complex Troubleshooting: Act as the final internal escalation point for severe or recurring incidents that 1st and 2nd line teams cannot fix, performing root cause analysis
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain, upgrade, and secure servers, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), storage arrays, and cloud environments
- Project Delivery: Plan, design, and implement technical changes and system migrations
- Mentorship & Documentation: Provide technical guidance to junior support staff and write clear standard operating procedures or knowledge base articles
Experience: Proven history in a tier-3 or senior infrastructure role within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or internal corporate IT setting, Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and hosting platforms - Advanced knowledge of Windows 11, VMware, Hyper-V and Nutanix support and administration
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies and Intune
- Solid background of Cyber Security and patching fundamentals (experience of CrowdStrike desired)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, This is a fully on-site role, 5 days per week Mon-Fri. A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
