2x Postdoctoral Researchers, Incognito Justice

Incognito Justice is a Horizon Europe research project examining how the anonymisation of judicial decisions affects judicial independence, transparency, media coverage, legal practice and the rule of law. The project combines legal scholarship, social science methods, survey experiments, interviews and policy engagement.
Reporting to Professor Inbar Levy, the postholders will be members of the Incognito Justice research team and will undertake research related to Oxford's Work Packages. One researcher will focus on legal & policy analysis. The other researcher will focus on empirical data analysis. Please indicate on your application which role you are interested in.
Candidates should hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD/DPhil in Law, Psychology, Economics, Socio-Legal Studies, Political Science, Criminology, Public Policy, Sociology, Media Studies or a related discipline; demonstrated knowledge of judicial institutions, courts, rule of law, legal systems, judicial transparency, media and law, or closely related fields; experience conducting qualitative research, including interviews and thematic analysis; experience conducting quantitative research and the ability to manage independent research and coordinate multiple workstreams. Experience of empirical legal studies, behavioural legal studies, law and economics; comparative legal or socio-legal research and survey research, experiments, mixed-methods research or policy evaluation is desirable.
These roles are part time (0.5 FTE) and fixed term from 1 February 2027 to 30 April 2029. The postholders will be based at the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
