A School in Essex is seeking an enthusiastic 2i/c Business Studies to join their department full-time from September 2025.This is a permanent position with TLR 2b, ideal for someone ready to take on middle leadership and support the Head of Department in driving standards, supporting curriculum development, and mentoring staff.You'll be teaching Business Studies across KS4 and KS5, helping students understand key commercial concepts while also contributing to strategic planning and departmental leadership. The school offers a supportive team environment, access to excellent CPD, and a clear focus on quality teaching and learning.This role is perfect for an experienced teacher looking to step into leadership or a current second-in-charge ready for a new challenge in a thriving school community.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5Assist the Head of Department in curriculum
planning, assessment, and resource developmentLead on specific areas such as data tracking, interventions, or enrichmentSupport and mentor colleagues within the departmentMonitor pupil progress and contribute to raising attainmentFoster real-world business thinking and enterprise within the curriculumContribute to the wider life of the school through events and extra-curricular activitiesQualifications and ExperienceQualified Teacher Status (QTS)Strong experience teaching Business Studies in secondary settingsKnowledge of current business education frameworks and qualificationsProven track record of strong outcomes or impact in your subjectAbility to inspire and engage students at KS4 and KS5Strong organisational and interpersonal skillsExperience or interest in departmental leadership responsibilitiesSchool Staff Direct and our partner school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will be
