2767 - Ward Clerk

The successful candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to Ward 36, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the ward.

They will act as a first point of contact for patients, relatives, visitors and other departments, both face-to-face and over the telephone, ensuring a professional, friendly and helpful approach at all times.

Duties will include maintaining accurate patient records and ward documentation, supporting admission, transfer and discharge processes, arranging and organising patient notes, answering and directing telephone calls, and liaising with members of the multidisciplinary team and other departments across the Trust.

The Ward Clerk will work closely with the nursing team, including the Lead Nurse and Ward Sisters, and will be expected to prioritise their workload effectively within a busy and sometimes changing ward environment.

The successful candidate will also provide general administrative support to the ward and contribute to maintaining an organised and welcoming environment for our patients, relatives and staff.

Ward 36 is a busy surgical ward caring for patients across a range of surgical specialties. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and approachable individual to join our team and become a valued member of the ward.
