Full Job Description
We are:
We are a 'Good' school (Ofsted, April 2024), where our boarding provision was recently judged as 'Outstanding' (Ofsted, 2025). The inspectors highlighted that our "students are making significant progress," noting they are "supported through a culture of high expectation, helping them to achieve the best they can." We are a lively and purposeful co-educational, comprehensive state boarding school for children aged 7 to 18 years, with approximately 700 flexi-boarders and 300 full boarders. A popular choice for both local families and international boarders, our success is driven by our exceptional facilities, academic results, and a boarding ethos that fosters a wide range of co-curricular activities and positive student attitudes. We are now seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to this thriving, high-expectation environment.
We offer:
1. Professional, supportive and committed staff team
2. Beautiful estate set in 260 acres of parkland
3. Convenient location, close to the A23 and M25
4. Free on-site parking
We are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our successful and dynamic Special Educational Needs Department to support the learning of our students. This includes support in the classroom and may include working with students both within and outside of lessons.
Whether you have experience or are new to the role, it is essential that you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and have a passion for working with young people.
This role would also be ideal for someone who is looking to gain school experience prior to undertaking initial teacher training.
We reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date of the advertisement.
