Role: HR and Payroll Officer

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary: C 25 - 27k

Status: Full time 40 hours

 

Our prestigious client is seeking an experience HR and Payroll Officer to manage the staffing needs of the business, oversee and give guidance on the management on staff performance, motivation and development and provide general administration.


Main duties and responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Advise and guide Managers and staff on all staff related Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that policies comply with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that the Company’s compensation and benefits policies and practices are able to attract, retain and motivate staff.
  • Oversee the job description and appraisal process;
  • Ensure good practice in the recruitment of staff, working with line managers to identify the recruitment needs of the Company.
  • Screening of candidates, doing interviews, and help with the selection of the right candidates.
  • Conducting inductions for all new starters on a monthly basis.
  • Disciplinary matters.


Payroll Manager:

  • To process the payroll on a 4 weekly basis.
  • Ensure accurate input of payroll data to include new starters, transfers, changes and leavers.
  • Ensure accurate processing of all salaries, statutory pay, holiday pay and bonuses.
  • Ensure accurate processing of pension payments.
  • Deal with any pay queries

You will have previous HR experience and ideally Payroll with SAGE, your duties will be approx 70/30 split between HR/Payroll
