Financial Controller

Our Client is a prestigious utilities services contractor with a large, mixed portfolio of maintenance and service contracts for clientèle within the private, commercial and public sectors.

They are currently seeking a qualified Financial Controller to oversee their in-house accounts function.

The primary output of the role is to continually ensure and improve profitability, overseeing success of multiple contracts at one time.

Job Duties:

·Reporting to the CEO/Board of Directors; oversee all company accounts and investments, providing analysis and feedback.
·Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
·Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
·Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
·Seek improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
·Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
·Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
·Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
·Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
·Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
·Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
·Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
·Produce and present timely and accurate financial information reports to board of directors

Experience, Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

A BSc Degree or MSc in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a business environment. Experience in a similar role working with JCT measured term contracts would be desirable but not essential.

Package and Benefits: £50K-£70K+ Package Dependent on Experience
