We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, energetic and hands-on process engineer or technician with silicon, glass and polymer based experience for a company based in North Hertfordshire to develop novel and exciting MEMS processes and devices. You will possess great attention to detail, be able to create and follow SOPs and HandS documentation, be comfortable working long periods in a cleanroom and able to resolve complex equipment/process related issues. Responsibilities You will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to provide solutions to complex design challenges. You should be aware of semiconductor or MEMS processes, including photolithography, sputtering, bonding / embossing, wet / dry etching, electroplating, wire / hot bar bonding and metrology. In addition, you must make detailed inspection and careful measurements to support process control. Requirements * At least three years experience working in cleanrooms with glass, silicon, III/V, polymer and/or ceramics * Ideally some experience working with microsensors or similar products at wafer scale * Wide-ranging process knowledge is a must, including; photolithography, bonding, embossing, soft-lithography, wet / dry etching, metal evaporation / sputtering, PECVD, plasma surface treatment, electroplating, metrology, wirebonding, wafer dicing and chip testing * Experience of working with and maintaining complex semiconductor equipment * Experience of working with HF, strong acids / alkalis, special gases and volatile chemicals and understanding the associated Health and Safety aspects * HND / BSc / BEng / MEng in Engineering, Physics, Chemical sciences, Electronics, Semiconductors or a related subject * Excellent attention to detail, meticulous work ethic, and working knowledge of clean room equipment * Ability to work within a team and individually
