IT Support / Manager

IT Support / Manager ATE UK are a leading business who specialise in manufacturing and distributing equipment and parts to the plant hire, construction and utility industry and are now looking to recruit an IT Support / Manager to be based from our Colchester headquarters, to drive improvement through our existing ERP processes and procedures. This IT Support / Manager role is working on a full-time basis with a salary of £30,000 to £35,000.

As IT Support / Manager, you will be reporting to the Group Operations Manager and be responsible for our new ERP system, Intact IQ, to realise the full potential of the system in line with our strategic and commercial goals.

Duties of the IT Support / Manager will include:

  • Take ownership of ATEs IT systems acting as our business system owner.
  • Critically analyse user IT requests and prioritise issues and manage stakeholders.
  • Provide ERP and wider IT user training and ongoing support as required.
  • Create and maintain staff dashboards.
  • Manage information & workflow requests efficiently and competently.
  • Investigate new features.
  • Action system generated errors.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Maintain a register of system modification.
  • Support data integration with supplier systems as required.
  • Establish rules and procedures to enable the proper management of IT systems.
  • Define and monitor IT quality standards and ensure compliance with them.
  • Know and apply the standards of network architecture.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Will be qualified and have experience in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Knowledgeable about quality management, risk management, security and operations.
  • Can set IT standards, monitor and ensure compliance.
  • Problem solvers, strong analytical skills and can work under pressure and manage stress.
  • Can adapt to a business that is constantly evolving.

This role is full-time offering the ideal candidate is a basic salary of £30,000 to £35,000 plus great benefits including free onsite parking, free lunch, contributory pension scheme plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).

The role holder will require a high level of commitment to company values and standards. They must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with all functional departments to add value to our overall strategic goals. Our core mission is to ensure that in every transaction we reduce asset down time and increase safety for all our customers. As with everyone in the business, our daily decisions and actions reflect our customer led culture; something we hold in very high regard. We are one team focused and accountable but do balance the need for serious with humour and fun.
