Undertake servicing and repairs of lift equipment at various locations on a daily basis performing tasks on electrical and mechanic equipment

carrying out adjustments of landing locks, landing doors, cleaning of the door tracks and also making sure all lubrication points are also serviced

The Apprentice will achieve Level 3 Lift and Escalator Electro-mechanic Apprenticeship Standard (Lift Service / Repair pathway) which includes mandatory completion of the L3 QCF NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Lift Service or repair)

The Apprentice would also do a Lift Certificate and study lift specific distance learning units with Uni of Northampton (Fundamentals of Lifts Tech and Electrics and Mechanics) which would mean virtual college attendance approximately one day per fortnight for one academic year out of the 3 year Apprenticeship.
