Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities
- As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent - Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching
- A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
