Wrap Around Care Assistant

· Helping with the general care and support of pupils within the wrap around care facility

· Contributing to the health and well-being of pupils within the facility;

· Establishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils and parents/carers;

· Being an effective model for pupil behaviour.

· Ensuring safe collection of the children at the end of each session

· Food and drink preparation (snacks)

Support for the school
· monitor effective working relationships with colleagues and parents;

· contribute to the maintenance of pupils' safety and security;

· review and develop their own professional practice;

· recognise confidentiality, child protection procedures, Health & Safety, and the policies of the Governing Body and the LEA.

Experience of working within a school is desirable, and we are looking for team players who put the interest of the pupils at the heart of everything they do. Creativity and the ability to act on your feet is essential along with good communication skills to deal with the wider school team, the children and the parents and carers. The ability to have fun and to provide an inclusive welcoming environment for our children is essential. Childcare qualifications eg Level 3 and pediatric first aid would be an advantage but are not essential.

Manor Leas Junior Academy are looking to recruit a Wraparound Care Assistant to start in September 2024 (earlier if possible). Salary: Grade 3, Point 6

Hours:

Afterschool club role - 10 hrs per week - term time only (Tuesday 3pm to 5pm, Wednesday 3pm to 6pm, Thursday 3pm to 6pm, Friday 3pm-5pm)
