Full Job Description

Are you an experienced HGV / LGV workshop professional with a passion for delivering an efficient service, developing and enhancing an existing service for a small HGV / LGV workshop?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Chichester District Council where you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vehicles are fully maintained and serviceable.
Our fleet comprises HGV refuse collection and road sweeping vehicles as well as smaller LGV vehicles that are used to deliver highly respected waste collection and street cleaning functions. You will be also responsible for a MOT test station that is used by private hire and resident vehicles.
Ideally you will already hold your Transport Managers licence but if not the opportunity for you to gain this qualification will be provided.
Candidates without HGV experience will also be considered providing a track record of using technology to improve the workshop functions can be demonstrated.

£40,221 - £44,428 (Pay Award Pending) + £2,082 HGV Driver Market Supplement (applicable only if holder of HGV licence)
