Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity at Derby Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service for someone who is passionate about helping people and making a difference. This role will be based in Derby City, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

We are looking for a Women's Substance Misuse Practitioner to manage a caseload of female service users presenting with drug and alcohol issues. The role will involve offering a range of harm reduction interventions and structured key working, helping engage service users in a care-planned and recovery focused way to attain improved health outcomes and achieve their personalised treatment goals.

This will involve you effectively organising and delivering 1-2-1 care-planned support and facilitating group work sessions as required, using appropriate models, interventions and approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of service users. Furthermore, you will support them in their individual, person-centred journey to build recovery capital by partnership working with other support agencies and local projects.

Relevant experience of work in the field of drug /alcohol and substance misuse or a similar field within the public sector.
Experience of key working
Able to assess, plan and implement care
Experience of working with women
Relevant experience and training in delivering psychosocial interventions
Knowledge of adult and child safeguarding
Experience of partnership working and multi-agency liaison
Experience of achieving agreed objectives, targets and deadlines
No criminal record that prevents work with our client group or which would harm our reputation
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word and familiar with relevant database management systems
Ability to work evenings on a rota basis if required.

Starting salary of £24,250 with opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal.
